instant pot rice
sides | asian japanese rice1.5 cups of rice
1.5 cups water
- quickly rinse twice
- scrub-rinse twice
- soak for 30 minutes
- drain in colander for 10 minutes
- add rice to instant pot with equal amount of water
- cook on high pressure for 2 minutes (it will take about 5 minutes to build pressure before cooking cycle starts)
- rest for 10 minutes, then release any remaining pressure

10/02/2024: made this a couple nights ago and it was better than past efforts — not as good as my trusty old zojirushi rice cooker (and a lot longer and more hands-on), though.
