1.25 cups water
- rinse rice in cold water three times, until it runs clear
- add rice and water to pan and soak for 30 minutes
- bring to a boil uncovered
- cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 12 minutes
- remove from heat and rest for 15 minutes before removing cover
