1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup masa harina
2/3 cup white sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 egg
1 1/4 cup milk
5 Tbsp. butter

  • Mix dry ingredients in large mixing bowl.
  • Stir in egg and milk until well combined.
  • Melt butter in 9” cast-iron skillet, rotate to coat, and pour into batter.
  • Mix butter into batter, then pour batter into buttered skillet.
  • Bake 20-25 minutes at 400°F, until a toothpick comes out clean.
