1 1/2 cups sugar
6-8 blood oranges

  • zest one blood orange
  • juice oranges to make 1 1/2 cups of juice
  • add zest, juice, and sugar to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil
  • boil for 2 minutes, then strain into a glass jar or bottle
  • cool to room temperature then chill
