Flour Tortillas

2½ cups flour
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp baking powder
⅓ cup shortening
1 cup hot water
- Mix dry ingredients, then cut in shortening with pastry blender.
- Add water slowly until dough forms.
- Knead dough and divide into 10 pieces and roll with palm of hand
- Cover with wet towel and rest 30 minutes.
- Roll out each tortilla to about 10” circle
- Grill on hot dry pan, flipping twice, about 1 minute total
