chocolate peanut butter pie
dessert | chocolate pieoreo crust:
24 Oreos
4 Tbsp. butter, melted
- process Oreos in food processor
- add butter and pulse to combine
- press into pie crust
- bake at 350°F for 5 minutes, then cool to room temperature
peanut butter filling:
1/2 cup real peanut butter
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1-2 tbsp. cream
- stir peanut butter and cream cheese until combined
- stir in sugar and vanilla and continue mixing until well combined
- stir in cream, one tbsp. at a time until mixture reaches a spreadable texture
- spoon into crust, smooth out to level, and chill
chocolate filling:
1/2 cup cream
5 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup cream
- heat 1/2 cup cream until simmering then pour over chocolate chips
- rest for 2 minutes, then stir until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth
- rest 10 minutes, then beat remaining cream and fold into chocolate mixture
- pour into pie and chill
