Crisp Topping
dessert | pie1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup oatmeal
2/3 cup brown sugar
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
4 Tbsp. butter
- Combine dry ingredients and mix thoroughly, breaking up brown sugar lumps
- Melt butter, and use 1 Tbsp. to brush a 9” square dish
- Fill dish with pie filling, like Cherry Pie Filling
- Mix remaining butter into dry ingredients, then spread over pie filling
- Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes, then let cool at least 15 minutes before serving
